What We Do
Building services engineering, maintenance and support
MaxBluemanGroup works across mechanical, electrical and public health disciplines to keep buildings running safely, efficiently and reliably throughout their life.
Overview
Three areas of work, one coordinated approach
Buildings depend on a wide range of mechanical, electrical and public health systems working together: heating and ventilation, power distribution, lighting, water services, drainage, fire and security systems, and the controls that tie them all together. When these systems are designed, installed and maintained well, a building is comfortable, efficient and safe to occupy. When they are neglected, the consequences range from rising energy costs to unplanned downtime and compliance risk.
We organise our work into three connected areas: building services engineering, planned preventative maintenance, and reactive maintenance. Each is described in detail on its own page, and each is designed to support the others, so that new installations are easier to maintain, maintenance programmes reduce the likelihood of breakdowns, and any reactive work that is needed feeds back into longer-term planning.

Where we work
The buildings and sectors we support
Building services engineering touches almost every type of occupied building. Our work spans a broad range of settings, each with its own technical and operational demands.
Commercial offices
Heating, cooling, lighting and power systems that support occupant comfort and productivity while controlling running costs.
Retail and hospitality
Services that must remain reliable during trading hours, with minimal disruption to customers and staff.
Residential and mixed-use
Communal plant, water services and electrical infrastructure serving multiple occupiers within a single building.
Heritage and listed buildings
Sensitive integration of modern building services within historic fabric, balancing performance with conservation requirements.
Industrial and operational sites
Robust mechanical and electrical infrastructure designed to withstand demanding operating conditions.
Occupied buildings undergoing change
Phased works that allow a building to remain in use while services are upgraded, replaced or extended.

Engineering that is planned, coordinated and accountable
From first design through to day-to-day operation, our approach keeps technical quality, safety and communication at the centre of every project.
